We’re coming up to two years of operation at The Poetry Resource and we’d love to hear suggestions of new poets to add to our database. Who would you like to see added or even interviewed?

Please bear with us over the coming week or so - we’ve just migrated the site from Joomla to WordPress and there’s quite a bit of work cleaning a few things up. Once that’s done there’ll be much more regular updates and addition of new poets.

We’re pleased to announce we’ve revamped our discussion forum. It’s designed so poets and their work can be discussed / debated in a friendly environment as well as providing a forum for people to ask questions about specific poems etc. Enjoy!

Its now been three months since we launched The Poetry Resource, and we’re please to report that there has been over 2500 unique visitors. On average, 21 unique visitors come to the site each day. Traffic has increased as we add more poets. The number one poet on the site by a huge margin is Karl Pilkington (no - we’re not kidding), however the whole gamut of poets are accessed regularly.
As always, we’d love to hear of any poetry events or poets you’d like added to the site.

The response to the website from the teaching community has been excellent. We’d like to spread the word through any websites / discussion forums that students and teachers may use. If you know of a good one, let us know!
All NSW HSC poets are now listed, with other states to come.

This site is devoted to providing a comprehensive database of information about poets for Australian High School students and poetry lovers alike.
There is no cost for using this page - it is provided as a service to education in Australia. We were educated in the public school system and want to give a little back.
Please - if there’s a poet you’d like to see represented, contact us.
Enjoy!<
